SINGAPORE - A chartered bus caught fire outside Mandai Crematorium on Thursday afternoon (Dec 16), with dramatic videos of the blaze subsequently shared widely on social media.
In response to queries from The Straits Times, a Singapore Civil Defence Force spokesman said it was alerted to the fire along Mandai Avenue at about 2pm.
Two water jets and two compressed air foam backpacks were used to extinguish the fire, he added.
No injuries were reported from the incident, which filled the sky overhead with clouds of thick black smoke.
